The 6-foot-4-inch, 200 pound high school graduate was also recruited by North Carolina, Clemson and Georgia, according to 247 sports.
Maye is the brother of former North Carolina National Basketball Player Luke maye. The quarterback told 247 sports that he had closed his recruitment after that commitment.
247sports listed maye as the No. 7 professional quarterback in 2021, ranking 107th in total. According to Charlotte observers, he led miles park high school with 3201 yards, 36 touchdowns and a 4AA semi-final.
Maye joined Latrell mccutchin, a hornguard in Austin, Texas, as Alabama’s second commitment in 2021. Tide currently has a third category of committed players at the 2020 level, with 20 on hand.
